Experience:
This experience allows you to meet and work alongside believers in the impoverished country of Haiti. The week’s primary focus is the block construction and building of a concrete/dirt block house for Haitian families in desperate need of housing. Work occurs in the neighborhood of the northern Haitian village of Pillatre. The host organization, established in 2009 as a U.S. 501(c)3 charity, is Welcome Home Haiti. This organization has built over 50 homes in the Pillatre area over the last six years. There will also be opportunities for mentoring and to fellowship with the young men and women of Haiti. Families who receive homes are believers and carefully screened and prioritized by need.
