LINC Sunday School

LINC Sunday School

Serving the Sunnyside housing development

The mission is to share the gospel with the economically disadvantaged children who live at Sunnyside. The children served are between the ages of 5 and 13. Most do not have access to a church. About 5 to 25 students attend each week. LINC meets each Sunday at the Boys & Girls Club of Bloomington/Normal. Starting time is 2:15 and classes are usually finished by 3:15.

Last year, a few of our committee members took a group of 8 children to a Christian camp near Branson, Missouri. The camp’s name is Kids Across America, and the focus at camp is to minister to inner city youth from all across the country. The children who were able to go last year were greatly impacted by the experience and are excited to go back again this year. We would like to ask for your financial support in this ministry opportunity. The cost per child is $150.00 for a week at camp. There are also extra expenses such as van rental, fuel expenses, and meals for the children on the trips there and back. Many of the children who would love to go cannot afford this cost. Therefore, we are looking to the body of Christ to fill this need. This is a great opportunity for those of you who are not able to attend LINC Sunday School weekly but would like to support the ministry in a way other than prayer. If you would like to join us in this outreach, you may make checks payable to the Apostolic Christian Outreach Fund and place them in the box on the table in the back hall. The Outreach Fund also supports LINC by providing payment for teaching materials, rent, and other expenses that are used to build relationships and teach Jesus at LINC Sunday School. We appreciate your love and support so much and are blessed to be a part of this body.

In Christ,

The LINC committee:
Rocky O’Shea and Kory Kaeb
